The central source of inspiration for this project lies in the presence of reflections and reflective surfaces within the exhibition space of Ex-Cisterna (Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan). These surfaces give rise to what I term “parallel spaces,” generated by the interplay of reflections from the external environment. They concurrently reshape both the perception of the body and the surrounding environment, offering a nuanced interpretation of reality. My artistic endeavor centers on capturing this interplay of reflections and transform it into a site-specific installation — a creation akin to an “analog meta-world.” Here, reflective surfaces serve as portals to a realm where images transcend their physical confines, evolving into layers of new data. Embedded within the concept of the “third space,” characterized by the seamless transition between the tangible and intangible, the concrete and the abstract, the primary objective is to challenge conventional spatial perceptions. This endeavor encourages individuals to venture into the diverse realities presented through reflections and luminous decompositions. Such exploration transcends traditional boundaries, fostering a dynamic interplay between the tangible and intangible realms within the contemporary experience.
